Default Taylor Thundervolt spark plug wires HELP!!!!

Hey I was pulling the spark plug wires off today, and on one of the wires a metal thing from inside boot came right out completely, and there was like this copper wire that looks like it had been snapped. Can I just put metal part back in boot and all is well? Or is it fucked? If so how can I just get 1 spark plug wire? Do I have to buy all new wires? Please tell me I don't.

The wire is toast, I did the same thing to two of my thundervolt's when I did a spark plug change. I had to buy a whole new set of wires...

Did you try contacting Taylor they might just send you replacements.

Same thing happened with one of my Taylors. Replaced it with a stocker. I won't buy them again, waste of money imo.

agree 11 Bravo, stock wires are fine for most applications.

The wires get shorter (vs SBC) and somehow become double the price?

Back in my day...wires were a nickel.

Sorry I don't have them anymore, I gave them to a buddy who had the same problem. Between both of us we made a good set and a couple spares so I let him keep them. I was in a bind so I went to the local autoparts store and they had one set of stock replacement (autolite) left, so I went with those. No way I'm spending another $85 for wires...these are fine
