Default 01-z and other g5x4 guys...

i just ordered the cam and the guy on the phone said 99% of the stock head ls1's are fine and that i should shift @ 6200. anyone further input on this?

i have a stock headed 98ls1 with a 02 oil pump, prc valvesprings, and i was considering the upgraded rod bolts.

What manifold? LS6? shift at 66, maybe 65 depending on how hard it shifts. FAST 90 shoot for 68-69 to take advantage of the air.

I shift @ 6900 and have bounced it off the 7100 rev limiter when my trans was going.

Nothing happened, it is still fine.

last 2 passes were 9.67 and 9.64 on nitrous, short shifting because of the trans.

This cam is awesome.

i have a daily driven street car that will see track use. driveability on any cam is a matter of opinion.

Would you go with the g5x4 over the g5x3 with afr 205s in my 01 SS 410 gears. Hows the torque curve on that cam and do you run it on a 112? thanks!

the x4 is on a 113 lsa, thats all that has been released on it. are your arf's milled? if so make sure you flycut the pistons.

do a search on 01z's dyno graphs for the curve.
