Default Need advice on heads

Here is the deal. I am just about to the end of my performance upgrades and need to find a set of cost efficient, but power producing heads for my cam. Here are my mods for all you tech heads:

01 camaro z28:
K & N FIPK
descreened stock MAF
throttle body bypas
comp cams xr269hr cam (216/220 with .529/.532 lift on 114 LSA)
Diablo Predator Tuner, but getting LS1Edit done in March
Pacesetter long tube headers, 3" off road y pipe, 80 series flow masters

Those are all the major engine/bolt on mods. When I did the cam I put in titanium retainer and comp cams ls6 springs. I would like to reuse those if possible. I need all experience and advice on cost efficint heads that are either bare or complete. New or used is fine as long as they are in good condition. Help me out here folks, PLEASE.

check patriot performance...they have EXACTLY what you are looking for...they sell heads both assembled, and unassembled...and just a cast...so i'd check that out, they will be one of, if not, the cheapest

Ideally you want ported LS6 heads or equivalent thereof. Something that flows 270cfm plus at 550 thou lift.

you can prob get it done for about 1300-1500 bucks i would think, esp if you get them bare and get some new seals and valves. you dont need a realyl high flowing head because you dont have a wicked cam, just something to help pep it up. patriot would prob be the best bet from what i have read

Prc heads should be great to when they come out and pretty low cost Check Texas Speed. You need to get rid of that flowmaster or get a cutout lol

damn i didnt see that flowmaster in there or i would have gotten on you a while back haha. man ditch that thing tomorrow!!! i went from flowmaster to GMMG and i swear to you i could tell a big difference in power. tires were wanting to spin a LOT more and a lot easier. my clutch even told me "thats enough thats too much power now" and took a **** on me. lol after the switch i guess the clutch couldnt stand the power. about a day after i changed it out i noticed high revs the clutch wouldnt hold as well. at least get a cut out

I have never had any bad luck with the flowmaster and I love the sound. If I put a cut out in it wont I lose torque?

man that flowmaster will kill you, the 80 series doesnt flow worth a crap. i think back to back dyno compairisons vs. other cat backs (i think i seen one with borla, closed plate) pick up 15-20 rwhp. u wont lose anything, this is from experience here.

i loved the way it sounded but wanted more power. i really didnt wanna lose the sound but then i heard gmmg and it was way sicker. so i got it

I will probably get the gmmg later, money has to go towards other things now. The heads are being built into my budget, so one of you will be getting a call from me.

Does anyone have a sound file of the gmmg on an ls1? Would really help to hear it.
