Default Um yea....really need some help!

I installed a double rollmaster timing chain, with the shims needed. Put on the oil pump but the front timing cover wont allow me to fit it all the way back. Its like the oil pump is hitting the cover, i cant get it to seal. I thought there's no need for fabing, whats wrong? its like an 1/16th gap!

did you put the driver side shim on backwards? It should point towards the center of the motor like this < not like this > when you're looking at it.

Hope this helps.

it didnt work for me the first time either, you have to use the old crank sprocket thing and a rubber mallet to hit it on all the way. if that makes sense...
