Switching cam is it Worth it?
I went with a fairly large cam in my car reciently. 244/250 .595/.595 114+4 lsa. I had planned on after getting into the 10's cam only to switch converters and start spaying it. Well the best I have gotten out of it is a 11.07@121mph in -1100 DA and dyno'd 344hp 360tq. Before the cam it dyno'd 304hp. So it doesn't look like it's going to get any better.
My question is that if I forget about spraying my car and go with a cam on a 109-110 LSA like a T-Rex or simular. Would it produce more power and run faster than the 114+4???
Mods(all bolt-ons, LT's w/ 3" duals, TCI 4400, 3.73's in a built 8.8.

The suspension is pretty well tweaked. 1.46 60's cam only The cam never really peaks. It makes the same power from 4600(where they got on it) to 6800 and I shift at 6500. The graph looks like a strait line

hey its jake..i juss went from the ms3 wich is a 237 242 603 609 113.. to something that is bigger on a 108 lsa..i put stock heads back on to...im goiing to the track thurs so ill let you know how this new cam works out..call me and ill give you the specs...214 738 7983

Swap to a Yank PT4400 and you'll be there with change to spare. The converter you have sounds like it's gobbling up too much rwhp.

I got 370 RWHP with my 230/232, 573/575, 111 lsa. cam only. And I mean cam only! Not even headers. I still had stock, (but port) exhaust manifolds and cutout opened.

Your dyno graph proves that you are in desperate need of a more efficient converter. I mean, your power doesn't increase at all above 5300 rpm. With that humongous cam, you should see the power rising a lot after that rpm. Either invest in a lockup switch or get a better converter. Redyno the car with the converter locked and unlocked and I think your eyes will be opened.
Your dyno graph proves that you are in desperate need of a more efficient converter. I mean, your power doesn't increase at all above 5300 rpm. With that humongous cam, you should see the power rising a lot after that rpm. Either invest in a lockup switch or get a better converter. Redyno the car with the converter locked and unlocked and I think your eyes will be opened.
