Default main bolt torque sequence

I have a question about torqueing the main bolts. On the information that I have the main bolts outside the block are given just a single torque value. Does this mean that there is no first/second pass value, just torque to 18lbs in the prescribed sequence?

Thanks
Ben

Correct, 18 ft-lbs working from the centercap and working outward.

Finish torqueing each side of the cap before moving on to the next one.

If the bolts are used, apply a small tab of silicone to help seal the bolt as oil can leak past the head. New GM bolts come with a sealer on the head of them, but the old ones work just fine with some silicone applied.

Excellent, thanks. I suspected the silicone coating was why the manual spec'd new side main bolts.
