Default overheating problems.

My car has been overheating realy bad lately. Iv got a custom aluminum radiator w/ temp sensors built in so the pcm doesnt even control the fans. While driving itll will stay cool but when i come to a stop it will start heating up to a max of about 215-220*. Even with both fans on it wont cool down. What is the problem here?

Thanks

Kyle

Did you check for a bag or somekind of debree infront of the radiator.

You don't want to know how many times the F-bodies and Y-bodies cam into the dealership for a overheating problem and I would go and pull the bag that they sucked up on the highway off their radiator.

Hope this helps.

OK dumb questions:

Are you sure the fans are running - it's acting like they'e not.
Are the fans running in the right direction?
Did the problem start when you put the new radiator in?

not dumb questions. yea the fans are running and in the right direction. there is no bag in front. it was acting that way when i had low coolant but afterwards it was fine. i missed a shift during a race and thats when it started acting up. possible a blown ead gasket?

Thanks

Kyle
