For a 2002, somewhere just short of 7000 rpm asuming you upgraded the springs and pushrods with the cam. I set my rev limiter at 6750 rpm, but everybody has a different idea of how far they want to go. Some people get away with 7200 rpm, others throw a rod at 6800 . . . it's your call.

Yea, there was a thread a few days ago about the limits of the bottom end RPM wise. I think some people reported breaking rods at 6700, some said they went to 7000. All depends on your motor.

I have never heard of anyone breaking a Stock LS1 Rod? Although not everyone posts on here.
I would upgrade the Valve Springs, locks and retainers. If you plan on staying with stock lifters I'd get a restrictor pushrod. If not I'd get a set of Morel lifters.
For added safety I'd upgrade the timing chain and the rod bolts if its within your budget.

with upgraded valvetrain, springs, pushrods, maybe lifters, it doesn't matter what size cam at those high speeds. The reason most people want to go higher with the huge cams is because they build power way up there in the rpm range. So in other words just pick a cam and either play it safe and cut it off at 65-6700 or live dangerously at about 6800-7000. Just get it dyno tuned and see where your power starts dropping off and see if you even need to go that high.

I spun my car to 6900 for two years and never had a problem even with stock pushrods. My cam was a little smaller than the ones you are looking at though. 224-230-581-572-112 You should be fine with any of them but then again you never know.
