Anyone still running MorganMotorsports Stage 2's?
Anyone still running any Morgan Motorsports Stage 2 Heads with a Morgan custom cam? Reason I'm asking is because I'm looking at a car that was built about 3-4 years ago and has been sold since then and now I'm thinking about buying it. The problem is that the current owner does not know much about the specs of the heads or the cam. He said the heads are MM Stage 2's and the cam is a MM grind with like .569 lift or something like that. He doesn't know the duration. Anyone have any idea what kinda power this setup would make on a stock bottom end? And anyone know the specs of a set of MM Stage 2 LS1 heads? Like valve size, what springs, flow #'s, etc?
Thanks,
Matt

Matt,
I am not sure I can remember what Morgan did to my stuff. The Heads were stage two and were supposed to flow in the 290's at .600 lift. However when I took the heads off and to my engine builders shop he said they were actually high 270's at .600. He said there was VERY LITTLE material removed and didn't know how they could flow what morgan said.
I had the 224/.569 cam which was stage two I believe but I changed later to thier 229/.578 cam.
Talk to Terry Burger, he and mike were tight and he knew all the morgan stuff.

It most likely has his comp 224 cam. His heads were weak. I hear he (Morgan)is in the Army trying to hide from creditors and lawsuits. Maybe Terry can chime in. I hope justice is served, he screwed a bunch of people.

Yeah I heard that Morgan was pretty shady and basically a thief.. I know this car was running some damn good times back 2-3 years ago tho. Had the MM Stage 2 heads & camshaft with LS6 intake, Vortech w/ 8psi, 6spd, 3.73's & Wiseco stock bore pistons. Car was running mid 10's on the stock 7.5! But anyway, I went and looked at the car and it is now a total pile of ****. Hasn't been washed in about 2 years and is just sittin outside rotting away with a cracked sleeve. So, no deal! But, thanks for the help tho!
