That's good to hear. I'm surprised more people didn't take the same approach. Why go through the trouble of trying to pick the right cam when someone else has already done so? Why not just use the same cam that Tony used when he put his package together. That's what I'm going to do with the 225 heads. I'm going to wait and see what results Tony gets with the 62cc heads on a stock 346 bottom end. If the results are good I'm going to use the exact same cam. As far as I'm concerned, if he has already done the testing and has a proven cam matched with the heads, why not use the same combination? I guess people are always searching for a little more power with the bigger is better mentality.

I'll be going with the 62cc 225 heads, milled to give 58cc chambers and the cam of Tony's choice. I'll also be going with the FAST 90 Intake and TB. Tony should be testing this type of combo on a 346 stock bottom end very soon.

WallSt. Back in the Dayz, remember it was respectable to have 400-410rwhp
through an M6? Back when the MTI B1, T1 cams where what was ran.

Later that number bumped to the 430-440rwhp mark, now everybody
is shooting for 450rwhp or more through an M6. We got some freak
480-500rwhp hydraulic cams out there too.

Now adays if you are cracking 400rwhp through an A4 you are excited.
380-390rwhp is respectable.

But 440rwhp and over 400rwtq. With a "small" camshaft?

Astounding? What can you say. GM was smart for staying with pushrods.

Over on the ford side we got some descently built 408-418's through automatics ( not locked up and less efficient ) making 450rwhp to the tires.

Getting crazy close with 60 less cubic inches.

Bear in mind that those numbers were through a locked converter which will read higher than through an unlocked converter.

And your point?

Of course it will read higher on HP and lower on TQ with it locked, but still not as high as an M6 would.

Those are awesome numbers for a small cammed A4 setup and on a corvette even, where the drive train loss is even greater. Cudo's for a great running motor and prooving Tony's setup can be duplicated .
