Yet another heads and cam Dilema!!!
I've done tons of searching and reading, but instead of lurking I'll post my questions. The car is a 2000 M6 SS, the planned mods are Kooks LT, ORY, Hooker Catback, ASP UD, MTI Lid. I've somewhat narrowed it down to a few candidates for cams..... MS3, TSP 233/239, G5x3, all on 112 LSA. SInce these are all pretty aggressive street cams, what heads would on average allow me to clear my goal of breaking 450 with still an awesome amount of torqueand yet still not breaking the bank. I've heard awesome things of AFR 's TEA's and Patriots. The car still has the stock LS1 manifold, and the FAST is just way too pricey, but if I can find an LS6 manifold for a good price I'll bolt it on while I'm already in there. AFR's are putting down awesome number, but like many others said that's with high dollar supporting boltons. ANy inputs, opinions and or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would use our 5.3 heads with a larger intake valve (2.055 with new intake seats or a 2.055 cut down to a 2.04 for use with the stock intake seats.) At least an ls6 intake is needed as well as a cutout, ported TB and under drive pulley to make the numbers your wanting to make.
Thanks for keeping us safe.

I'm running a set of regular with no hand finish work TEA stg2 5.3s 2.02 intake valves decked .010 just for clean up, Futral F11 228/230 112+4, CamminBeaSSt ported TB and Kooks 1 3/4 on my C5. The setup turned 436rwhp/415rwtq on stock 65k mile LS1 short block with out a cut out.
A Futral F13 or F14 and set of TEA heads should have no problem getting your 450 rwhp and a strong tq curve.

Thanks guys for all the input. Just to add a little more comments, the ls1 shortblock currently has 63k. The install will be done by myself with the help of a few other knowledgable friends. I checked out TEA's prices and they aren't bad either. Does anyone know where I can get an ls6 manifold for a good price(cheap)? And as far as tuning goes, is it possible for me to tune it somewhat temp with a plugin type system like predator or vinici?

What do you think?

Now just out of curiousity I've seen a few guys on here posting dyno graphs of cars getting 470+ rwhp, mainly AFR. Now I know they are using just about everything I have except for the fast 90 90 setup, is the fast manifolds worth there price for the power they put out? Plus AFR's are pricey compared to other well known companies such as TEA and Texas speed. Should they be capable of putting down similar numbers compared to afr?

Well before I start to modify my car, I figured no matter what the car made after my planned mods, it'd be useless without some form of baseline numbers. So I went to South Georgia Corvette, and linked up with Aaron, who's really cool, not to mention there were a few sick rides there. The car is a 2000 SS that is mechanically stock, the only mods that have been done to the car is just, shocks, springs and swaybars. So I wouldn't be dissappointed, I made a personal guess that it should put down at least 290-295, but I'd be happy if it made 298-303, and as for torque, I made a guess at 310-320. Lets just say I'm pretty stoked for putting down the numbers I did with two back to back runs. Now let the modding begin.
