TR224 vs. TSP225 Making the final decision
I was thinking that both of these cams would produce near the same performance. I have narrowed my cam choice to these two cams, but was trying to make final decision. Both cams will be on a 112 LSA. Dyno sheets would help too if anyone has them.
TR224 - Thought about buying from Thunder b/c I like there service and they treat me right, but for 429.99. I would only spend the added investment if there were added benefits to gain with it.
TSP225 - I like the 389.00 price b/c of the savings over the TR224. If it is going to be the same performance as the TR224 I will chose this cam due to the lower price.
Now, my car is a daily driver not racer. I like the smaller cams for the added torque under the curve. I have/will have all bolts on before the cam install EXCEPT that I will keep the heads (casting 853) stock until I upgrade to 5.3L ported and polished heads. My car will be NA it entire life, no nitrous or forced induction. Looking for that near 400HP/TQ numbers with stock heads.
A member here has helped me a great deal and pointed me to either cam, so let's see where this thread goes. Lay it all out on the line fellas and help me make up my mind.

TSP 225. In this day and age you can't argue with price or the fact that both are too damn similar to make a comparison. The extra .581 lift of the TSP225 might make a few more ponies once you get your higher flowing heads.

Another option
Not to through a kink in your decision, but you can get a custom grind CompCam 224/224 .581/.581 112LSA from Speed Inc. who are also great to work with for 379.99. So, you get the price that you want, the tested 224 Cam, and the extra lift of the .581 as with the TSP225. Sounds like all the things you are looking for in a CAM all in one place.
