Default where can i get a unported ls6 pump

seen plenty of these 120$ ported ls6 pumps... but i heard there wasn't much actual porting done, nothing my 3 dremels and air grinder couldn't take care of if it need even be done.. i also heard they can be had for 50-60$... not like im running a t-rex cam.. prolly going some in the 224-lower 230's range.. so a unported ls6 pump, and the ls2 timing chain i got should be plenty better then stock for my application im guessing. not trying to cut corners really, just trying to do the job right and save a lil cash

the ls1's are not uncommon to fail and kill a motor. The ls1 pumps design allows the bypass to get stuck in its bore in the open position allowing oil to just bypass.

I would only change it depending on mileage.

01 and 02 did come with the ls6 oil pump. The replacement part number has now changed to point to the ls2 pump, although nobody has touted any new benefits of the new ls2 oil pump yet, atleast not that ive read. Unless youre going to install a ported or shimmed oil pump, you may as well leave your pump in there with 40K. if it were 60K id start thinking about it. At 80K it wouldnt make any sense not to replace it. If youre happy with your pressure, why fix what aint broke...
