Default When you got tuned...

how long did it take? i'm trying to work a tune in and i was wondering what kinda time we're looking at. also, did you just hang out at the shop or did you drop your car off? i'm a full time college student and i also work full time, so i need to plan this out. generally, what did you do?

I cant say, as I havent had a tune, but I would stay with the car. I am the same situation as you. I can imagine that it will take a couple of hours. Maybe 2-4?

I just went with a friend to get his 388 LT1 tuned, took about four hours, made five pulls on the dyno to get the tune perfect, could have left it there, they don't need your help, but we opted to hang around. We did do alot of BSing, could have went faster if we were not there.

When i got mine... the old tune was erased and a base tune was installed prior to hitting the dyno. once the upload was finished, we strapped her down and made ten pulls. it really depends on whether or not your motor gives any problems to work out and how close the base tune is. the whole process (depending on the tuner) can take anywhere from 30 minutes to maybe an hour and a half. that is just my situation. I am sure that others will chime in with their experience.

I know a guy that does a street tune. He sits in the car while you drive. He's usually around -6/+6 what the dyno says.

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 10:49 PM.
