Does the intake come off for a cam install?

Default Does the intake come off for a cam install?

Because i plan to get a cam installed, but before that i was gonna get headers and the ls6 intake, however, could i save on labor with the intake with a cam install?

the intake "install" consists of a couple quick connect fittings, a few electrical connections and 8 bolts. its really one of thoes things that ANYONE, even midly mechanicly inclined, should be able to do. there isnt even a gasket envolved. (not counting the rubber rings on the coolent lines) you should find a friend to help ya with it.... if you dont know anyone local, try www.easternfbody.com ... SOMEONE there should help ya...



anyhoo, to answer your question... no. the intake does not have to come off on these motors to do a cam swap.

i have no tools, lol i need to get a tool set, my situation isnt that great, im not working, and i live in Canada now and noone does their own work up here. If i was back home in philly, yeah it be easy to get someone to help with air tools or whatever i needed, but here its completly diff story! it blows!
