Default Rear main?

Is it common to have rear main problems in ls1 motors?

I got my motor out today and noticed my rear main was messed up..

At least I found it!

Default Rear main

If the rear main is bad I would suspect a balance problem with the flywheel, clutch or converter. Could also be a pilot bearing problem if it is a stick. You didn't specify whether you had a stick or auto. Did you replace any of these components in the past?

You say messed up? Do you mean installed wrong? Or are you talking about some thing else. I find it hard to believe that it messed up without some other event causing it. I am not trying to flame you. I know they are kind of a bitch to lighn up with out the right tools.
