I'll defer to some of the real techs here, but I was told you want at least .030" headroom

to me that's pushing the limits of the spring. i would get douple springs for that high of lift.

I wouldnt use them without having them checked for coil bind. Call around and see if you can find a shop with a valvespring tester. Set the spring to installed height and them compress it to .600" and see if the coils are binding. You want .060" between the coils at max lift to be safe.

You will also be able to see your seat and full lift pressures during this test.

I run the Manley Nextek Dual springs, good up to 650 lift.

My cam specs are 236/240 601/608 114 + 4.

I run 918's on a FMS F11 575/597, Dont worry about "having " to run a dual spring, I would run 918's on cams with 600-610 lift no problem.

I have 15,000 on mine....and they were used with the LPE GT2-3 and the TR224. No problems thus far, but I did break 2 stock rockers. I am using stock pushrods.
