Default Help Identify Competition Cam?

I've taken out the cam which was installed by previous owner - I've asked for spec's, all I got was "LS1 Hot Cam". Armed with that information, I assumed LS6 springs were also installed. But when I took the valve covers off, the springs are entirely blue in color, beehive shaped and the pushrods had the markings "7955 Competion Cams".

It appears that the springs are also competition cams #918, right? Based on what I found with valve springs & pushrods, it appears that the cam is more likely from Competition Cams and the only markings I could find was "121" and "00" below the number "121". Is there a way to identify this Cam? There's a dab of white paint near the front of the cam on ungrounded part.

With this cam, the engine runs rough at idle, sometimes stalls.

It sounds like an untuned Hot Cam. I believe the hotcam was offered as a package with LS6 springs (which were blue for 2004 and green for 2003 if I remember right) and a set of COmp pushrods.

Thanks for the info... I've never thought factory valve springs would be beehive shaped! That's what threw me. However, it's my first time I've worked with LS1 though.
