Pushrod Length
I am trying to install Patriot shaft mounts. Using comp r lifters, and a tsp 233/233 cam, when setting rockers on the stands with the 7.4 length pushrod, and with the lifter on the back side of the cam, the rocker shaft is sitting off ot the stand about 3/16 of an inch or so, with the adjuster screwed all the way out. Any Ideas, shorter pushrods, shim the stand or what? What is the proper way to do this and keep geometry correct. Need help ASAp

I did some searching and found that I will need a shorter pushrod (Like 7.050-7.100 Instead of the TSP 7.4;s I have). So I will try and find a place that sells the shorter pushrod, oh and tell the wife I wasted another 100 bucks on parts that won't work!

I've got the taller valve covers, but where do you get the shorter pushrods. Thunder's site doens't show anything that short. I would think that when I bought the patriot heads and rocker assembly from patriot they would have told me I would have to use a shorter pushrod, I guess not, and now reading the thread about the spark plug holes being messed up I am beginning to wonder! You do get what you pay for huh!

They wouldn't sell very good if they told you that you need shorter pushrods and the heads had to come off the motor to elongate the pushrod holes, which is typical of any true shaft rocker.
