Default Heads Cam and Headers...

Okay, sorry guys i know you are going to tell me to search but i was wondering if anyone could save me a ton of time and just tell me what combo of heads and cam are giving the best gains. What are some good prices to look for in reguards to that combo? I am comming from the v6 world where the aftermarket is small i feel overwhelmd as hell right now. Anyway also what headers are giving the best gains and sound?

Feel free to feel to share what online stores you think have the best prices/products.

Thanks, Cameron

dont you think if we knew the answer we'd all be running it .

i can honestly say in this case that doing your own research will pay dividens in the long run.

Haha, whatever is the most expensive. Hahaha, j/k bro.

Arguably the best of everything, off the shelf:
TR T-Rex cam
AFR 225 heads, finished by TEA
QTP longtube headers w/ high velocity merge collector (HVMC)

But to be honest, most H/C combo's depend on the tune afterwards. One guy w/ your exact same setup could put down 30 more rwhp/tq than you from the tune alone. H/C setups are crapshoots...sometimes you hit and sometimes you miss. You simply can't predict which combo is going to be the best.

ain't that the truth. The tune is very important.

Yeah, I've been banging the keyboard late at night for awhile now, I just ordered my set up last week.

Some of the more specialized cam builders provide tuning also. This can save you a ton of time and frustration, unless of course you have the ability to tune your own and the right tools.

I think I'm going to use the mail in tune and then jsut tweak it from there.

Here's another h/c package you might want to consider We've been working on this package for awhile & it looks like it should do really well... I'd like to see this car with a electric water pump & a 90mm setup
