Default optimal dynamic compression ratio

What would be the recommended dynamic compression ratio for a 427ci .....running on 92 octane pump gas?

How much cranking PSI would the optimal dynamic compression ratio have?

I think there's a dynamic compression calculator floating around the internet somewhere... it depends greatly on the valve timing, cam duration, etc, unlike static compression which doesn't take that into effect. The only info that I can give is that I had a 396 LT1 with 11.8:1 static, but less than 9:1 dynamic.... I think that too much more than 9:1 dynamic would lead you into the world of race fuel

For a street car that sees a lot of miles I'd shoot for something in the mid 8's for DCR. Things like evans coolant, spark plug heat range, and piston/chamber coatings play a big role, along with a good tune.
