Just since i've kinda been going over the whole motor since we are continually being pounded with some snow here in WI, had a question on this topic. Is there normally any kind of SLIGHT play from side to side that the rockers are able to do? some of the rockers do it and some don't. but then again, most of the ones that don't do it have the pressure of the spring on them(valves are open). Any thoughts? Thanks

I'm guessing normal. I noticed the same thing the other day on my stock rockers. Minimal movement and they all seemed the same, at least the ones that weren't under pressure.

Checked mine before I swapped my springs and they did have some lateral movement.

just changed my heads and mine were the same way. i tried to center them the best I could but I've changed cams/heads on 3 different cars and this was the case w/ all 3

Mine too. Do they do it now after the new springs, and have u put new lifters in?

Stock lifters, and yes the rocker arms have the same lateral motion with the new springs installed.
