Default Recommended shop in Fl. for flowing heads?

Like the title says... I have a set of FRE big uglies that I want flowed with and without my ls6 intake. Does anyone know of a good shop that will flow these accurately? Should they be flowed with or without a tube? Any special info or techniques I should know about? Thank you.

Sorry I can't help, but I am interested in seeing some results with those heads, post up any results you get (flow #, dyno gains, et gains, etc).

You might get more answers posting in the FL section. Mike Norris might know someplace that can do it.

If you want just the heads flowed (no intake mock up etc.), I would be willing to flow them for you quickly and pour the intake volume as well.

Email or PM me, but obviously you would be sending them (just one actually) to southern CA.

Tony M.

PS....I will flow the exhaust with a 1.875" curved pipe that simulates a header....the same pipe I obviously use when I flow the AFR's.

You would be surprised how many shops have flowbenches. If you are looking for hard data, I would look for a shop that doesn't sell or port that type of head. Somewhere like a high dollar race team, serious bike shop, or import shop would be a good place to look. Otherwise all you will most likely get is a sales pitch for theirs when it's all said and done. If you can, I would go to someone who is willing to show you the process. How they calibrate the bench, what bore size they use, test presure, leakage etc. And if you are paying for flow tests, I would suggest you test with and without manifold. Some heads may flow great without the intake and be no better or worse than another that does. What I mean is, get unbiased information that will work for you. It's worked for me in the past.
