Default Replacing cam bearings

How hard is it to replace cam bearings? I may be coming across a block that was oil starved and I've never had to mess with cam bearings before.

I haven't done it myself, but my machine guy only charged 30 dollar to swap them out. If the engine is out of the car you might want to just have your machine guy do it. He used a special tool to do it.

Take the engine to a machine shop.

It's extremly simple simple to do. Took us about 30min to do all together. There is a specific cam bearing tool you need to be able to replace, but my buddy had one. It might be a tool you could rent somewhere, as the tool wasn't anything LS1 specific.
