I've heard good things about them, and they have been going on cars for over a month.

If we could just convince Pro Topline (formerly pro action), DART, Brodix, and Trick flow to do it too...then we'd really see some price drops!!!

no kidding!just think back to when the SBC first came out.it took what,15,20 years or so before the aftermarket kicked in and came up with some more options.hell, the ls1 hasn't even been around for 10 years yet.

And there are two aftermarket heads on the maket, a third on the way, and tons of companies CNC machining and milling the factory castings. It's good to see the All Pros are offered with more deck though. I'm sure we'll see revised valve angles, splayed vavles, and really insane stuff in the next 5~6 years. Time is key. Can you think what will happen though if World starts to offer aftermarket tall deck blocks, or even one with a revised 5 head bolt per cylinder pattern?

Could you imagin if checy would continue to build the F body to give aftermarket companies a better reason to make new products?
Hopefully the Vette and GTO owners mod enough to help us out. Good thing the LS1 and LS2 are so similar.

maybe even a gen 3 style head for a gen 1 sbc. this jus confirms my thoughts, its the 50's all over again in terms of hot rodding.

I think Dart is working on a new head. I've heard a lot about it, nothing official yet.

the head their running in nascar is comparable to ours, with an 18*valve angle.well,it doesn't have replicated ports now that i think about it,but it's pretty damn good for a SBC head.and i agree,it's like the 50's all over but with a lot better technology.

search...specifically for "All Pro" or "All Pro Heads"...or for threads started by "427" They are cheap as-cast heads that flow 290-300cfm with a fairly large cc runner. They are more for a nice base for a all-out ported head. There is enough material for 300cc runners. They come in 65cc and a dual quench 55ish cc chambers. Thick deck...nice aluminum casting.

I want some.

Think about that statement. THE reason Pro Topline (formerly Pro Action and now owned by Comp Cams) aren't coming into market yet (if ever) is simply for that reason..No one with good business sence jumps into a market to drop prices. AFR came out with the first aftermarket head and will probably set the standard for the most profit. The All Pro head will probably prove to be superior, but after >25% of the market already has AFRs, only so many will buy All Pros, or any other aftermarket head. Edelbrock will surely be successful, because they have the marketing power, and will most likely set a new standard for value to the mass market. So, if I were to predict...I would say the community that ports OEM heads will be dead/very slow in a year, and the big companies will make their profits amongst the common consumer, and the hardcore guys will buy from companies such as All Pro. Today's market is very trendy. I may be wrong, but common sence tells me different.
