Default 105mm TB for LS1 PCM

Is anyone planning on making a 105mm tb for the ls1 pcm (has ls1 style tps, iac, etc.)? Just curious. I figured I would ask in the internal motor section as this will be for a high high rpm 408. Thanks.

Mods, if you move this could you pm me when you do so. Thanks.

I hear that there was on in the works until they realized you'd have to use a friggin' tire as a bellow.

Please disregard this entire post.

Unless you go with a sheetmetal intake I think that's overkill IMO.

going with a gmpp single plain manifold

I will probably end up with the four barrel style tb I think. Wilson sais you can use the ls1 pcm with them and that's what I needed to know. Thanks.

Yes, my sponsor and I weren't on the same page. I will now stick with n/a because it is what I know better anyway and it is much much much much cheaper.

Not only does it look cooler, but in the end, i think its better for flow, the elbow is for a FI setup.

That is interesting. I have a 406 sbc with port injection and a 4 barrel tb like you are showing. The engine has a lot of airflow and I think the 4 barrel intake is limiting my power. It is rated at 1000 cfm and the progressive nature makes the car very controllable when rolling into the throttle but I think I am giving up 30 hp in the upper rpm range. It is in c4 vette and I was thinking of an elbow and a 90 mm which flow about 1350 I believe.

I have a 105mm TB on my Ls1, but it is a ford throttle body, Most aftermarket computers can run any kind of TPS you want, plus ford throttle bodies are ALOT cheaper, my 105 was only 300 bucks

Thanks man. I know that a Big Stuff 3 or equivalent could run it and if I was going that route that is what I would have. However, accufab makes a throttle body which flows 2100 cfm, I think that will be enough, ha ha. It is a 4500 flange but I can just use a 2" adapter for it. These throttle bodies also have the proper intake air control motors and iac motors. Thanks though guys.
