Default AFR 205's Mongoose????

I was thinking of getting some AFR's and notice they're made with different sized combustion chambers and stuff. Which size would be best for my set-up? Are all the 205's called Mongoose?? I saw a set on Ebay new for like 2100.00

My question is.. which do I go with, the 66cc or the 76cc chambers. I'm pretty sure the 66cc but when would I go with the 76cc?

The AFR 205's are ONLY available with 66 cc chambers out of the box (you can mill them lower). You might want to do a search on this board....there is enough information about the 205's to keep you reading for a week.

Also, I have to agree....why buy them on Ebay when you can get them for similar pricing from one of the sponsor's that would probably stand behind them (in the unlikely event you had a problem), and also help you with the proper set-up and other advice that might leave you with a better all around package when the smoke cleared.

Just my .02

Y2K - On my IRS manual GTO I got 397.95RWHP with stock AFR205s and small 216/220 camshaft with normal bolt-ons. If I had gone with a 224 or larger cam, it would be quite a bit higher. I'm very happy with mine.

I need to have the website updated to reflect the correct information...our apologies. I have stated many times in various threads here the heads will only come one way (66 cc version).

Sorry for the confusion....You might want to contact a Rep at AFR if you have other questions you need clarification on.

Thanks,
Tony

Cool Tony. I'll probably be picking some up in a couple months and like I posted.... can you give me an idea on what I should go with on my set-up. I'll be adding an LS6 intake and TPIS Tb also.
