Ls1 hotcam on a C5 I bought a Ls1 hotcam about a year and a half ago. I didnt plan to use it for my C5 when I bought it. I had a pontiac T/A and the cam was going in it. I sold the T/A. How much gain could I get out of that cam in my C5? I dont want the car to loop to hard, what does the loop sound like? Should I sell the cam and go with another cam. I have a Vararam system that I havent installed yet either. Help.... I dont know what to do.

What are your current mods?? What are your future plans?? Is your car a 6 speed or auto?

A stock A4 C5, It has compatition mode, and 3:15 gears. I havent put on the vararam yet. Im going to get the heads ported. Im thinking about a stall converter. I want to get close to 400 hps or more without a power adder. A exhuast job is in the plans also. I dont want a cam that loops high, but I do want maximum performance.

Sounds like... I should get rid of the hotcam. How much is the Hot cam worth? Ive never used the cam before. I live in California. Also what cam do I replace it with? I need to pass smog also.
