Default Yes its another I need help with a cam

Ok, I am reading all these cam posts from a search and I am no further ahead

Here is what I have

2003 Z06
Kooks Headers 1 3/4
X pipe no cats
GM CNC LS6 heads (I have a set of the high compression version and a set of the stock compression version)
Air intake, bridge and so on

I do not want to cut the pistons. I am looking for 450 rwhp and decent street maners.

Can you be more specific with your decent street manners, like how you would like it to idle, etc?

As long as it idles in the 1000 rpm range or under, lope is fine, dont want to eat valve springs for breakfast. Figuring a shift point of 6600-6800. Came from a 95 Cobra with a 408 and a ton of cam and little vacuum for the brakes. Trying to stay just shy of that

Also have a set of 30# SVO injectors sitting around

another factor besides the cam selection is will you retain stock 3.42's?if yes to that something 224( intake duration) range.if a gear up grade is in the future 228-234(intake duration).A big cam might make big upper rpm power on the dyno but mismatched with stock gears its a slug on race day.

I'm still running the stock 3.42 gear with a G5X3, upper 230's duration...Personally I think that it has as much or more punch below 2000 rpms than it did stock...And above 2000 rpms huge difference...Car idles great, no stalling, starts when hot...I've bumped the timing up probably 10 degrees from stock in the low and mid rpms...Really made a difference in power...Don't think I'm in the 450 rwhp area, but would guesstimate around 400~410 rwhp, was at 366 rwhp on a Mustang Dyno before adding the cam...

I was looking at that cam. I am hopping, which really donst mean much...lol, that the heads would give me the 30 rwhp over the people that are running in the 410 range on a cam with stock heads.

I would not be upset with 440 rwhp

Basically, I want to run in the 125-127mph range in the 1/4. 3370 or so is the weight with driver.

My cam is supposed to make 460 rwhp with good heads. With my home ported heads, I will be happy with 440 rwhp also. I'm having it dynoed this Saturday. Street manners aren't too bad IMO, but then I had a high tolerance.
