Default LS1 VS Vortec 6000

First of all which one weights more?

I'm thinking of upgrading l98 in rx7 onto something newer..not really serious about it. If i could get a motor out of car/truck salvage place, which one should i go for? Either one should bolt right in instead l98, yes?

LS1 5.7 or Vortec 6.0 THANX!

There's no power difference, just a difference in overal block strength. The 6.0L block would be great for a turbo/supercharger application. I hear they accept nitrous very well too. Keep in mind you're also adding 100 lbs to the front of the car though.
