Default will i hurt the car?

not sure where to post this, so don't kick me too hard

anyway, my SES light went on, i got it scanned and its a P0420 code.. so, my drivers side cat went south. ill be taking care of this next week, since everything's closed on the weekend

so the question is.. is it ok to drive the car for a few days while the cat's bad? or will i hurt something?

thanks!

It shouldn't hurt anything. Does it drive normal? Unless the cat is somehow horribly clogged and is restricting your exhaust it shouldn't hurt anything in the least.

In my old '94 Z the cat was shot and isnt until it was so bad that the restriction caused the car to overheat or run hot that it had to be fixed.
