Is there a quick and easy check for lifters?

Is there a quick and easy check for lifters? I was just wondering how does one go about checking them for rapid bleed down or can you even check them at all once they are out of the engine?

Only way I know of checking them is just pushing on them and seeing whether or not if they are siezed up or not. Other than that I dont know, if in doubt swap them for an OEM replacement. Good Luck
