Default What size of pushrods for ls6 cam

I hear the base ciecle dia is smaller on the ls6 cam. Would stock pushrods work ok with this cam or would i need different size? This is going in a 4.8 and have not touched the heads.

Reason ia m asking is because I already have some TR hardened 7.400's sitting in the garage. I am also leaning towards these but I just want to make sure.

When I do mine, I'm going with Comp Cams 7.425". That is the "correct" way to make up the diff. in the base circle (unless you want to swap to the LS6 longer valves, that is..)

Others will chime in and tell you the diff. is not worth worrying about.

the differnce is .028 so you can use 7.4 or 7.425 either will work, but I used 7.4 and had the heads milled .028 when I ported them.

Right on.
Some people have used the 7.40 but with non adjustable stock rockers that results in less preload and a little noisier valvetrain.
If you have the money get the 7.425s

stock pushrods, anything else is a waste of money with that cam. I had an 01 with that cam and stock pushrods no problems and I would not have considered the valve train to be "noisy".
