How does the MTI X1 cam stack up against newer grinds?
I know the X1 has been out for a while, and I've had it in my daily driver for over a year and a half... Thinking about doing AFR heads this fall and wondering if this cam is a good one to keep, or if I could keep similar driveability and gain some power by switching to a newer grind (maybe an f13).
I've liked the X1 on stock heads and will probably keep it unless any benefits could justify $400 for another cam...

I went with the Y1 from MTI and sold my X1. It`s aliitle tuf to tune with A4. MTI has her now finishing the final tune. David said she is driving great now. I do love the sound of my new cam verses the X1, but drivability is alittle harder now. Car in Sig Good Luck!

I've heard some older design cams, for instance the TSP 231/237 just doesn't stack up against some of the newer stuff (maybe because of lobe design ?). I was just curious if the design of the X1 is old enough that it is leaving alot on the table for its relative size...
