What would it take engine wise? It is a 02 WS6 m6 with sfc, lca, phb, torque arm,12 bolt,y-pipe,dr's. It runs 8.0 -8.4 in the 1/8 depending on the track. I have a street twin ready to go in.

yellow bird you are gonna need about 500+hp at the wheels to get in the 6's with a 6 speed and a chassis/suspension thats more setup for street

example, a member on here has pp stage 2 heads, tr228 cam, 4.30 gears, and a 100 shot to run 6.9's at 101mph

of course there are stock internal autos running 7.1's with only 325hp to the wheels but thats a car that is set up for drag racing

Combo in the sig. But to be consistently in the 6s and 10s I would need more power.

Your sig doesn't say where you live. I haven't gotten there yet, but then our track in Vegas is 2200 ft. elev. and often the DA can be much higher than that.

Not everyone lives at or near sea level. My best so far, first time out, not even broken in yet with 91 octane pump gas and a very conservative tune, was 11.32 @ 120. This would equate to 10.7x or so in Florida? You have to take DA and track elevation into consideration. BTW, my car is heavier now than when it was stock. Full interior, A/C, power everything, original stereo, plus a steel rollbar and heavy assed 9" with heavy BMR parts.

Maybe some day I'll make a trailer queen out of it and get the race weight down under 3750 lbs.

Well, you're right close to sea level, so it won't take as much RWHP as it would here. Still depends on how much weight you're willing to strip out of the car. The key to this drag racing deal is, and always has been, HP to Weight ratio

Good luck to you.
