Default MTI R1 vs F13

I am thinking about upgrading my H/C setup. I currently am running a 218/224 cam with 4 year old Cartek Stage 2 heads. I am thinking about the MTI R1 or the Futral F13. Which cam would have the best valve spring durability, performance and driveability? My car is an A4 with all of the bolt on's 4200 stall with 3.73 gears. I also will be going with TEA 1.5s or MTI stage 2 E heads depending on which cam I select.

I would get the TEA heads and ask them what cam they recommend to go with their heads.

Try doing a search on each cam to learn more about them, most people here overlook posts such as this one because this question has been asked to many times.

I did a search, found plenty of info on the F13 but very little on the MTI R1.
I was looking at the R1 becase of it's moderate lift I figured it might be easier on valve springs than the F13.

What are the specs on the R1? You say it has moderate lift. Most ported heads seem to flow a lot of air at larger lifts. Think you would be leaving power on the table in going with a "moderate lift" cam on ported heads?

considering the age of the R1 i'd wager the cam is cut on a slow ramp. i'd be interested to advertised and .200 duration compared to the FM13 below.

.006 - 280/284
.050 - 230/232
.200 - 151/150

my vote is TEA 1.5's and FM13, there's more then enough data on that combo to gauge what to expect.
