Default Is my oil pump bad

Well, I am not sure which is the problem. When I did my cam swap I have always had really good pressure between 30 and 50 at idle. I changed to a ls6 pump and now I get 10 to 15 at idle. It starts at 50 when it is cold and then goes to 10-15 when warm.

How do I know if it is the pump or the o-ring. Am I going to have to tear the motor apart to see.

might be the o ring that is pretty low even for a cammed car. U dont have to tear down the motor just take out the main seal and u'll see the oil pump right there.

edit:: my mistake u gona have to take the timing chain out of the way first.

I did not mean tear down the motor just the front part........The same thing that we had to do when we put the cam in

My ported ls6 oil pump makes 70psi cold idle 60psi hot idle and 70 to 80 psi hot WOT. Did you get your shims for double roller in right?

If the triangle shaped shim is on backwards it will block half of your oil inlet port of the block.
