Need help on cam choice for 370?

TSP has a new grind out for the 231/237, its close to the same thing, 233/239. Depends on what you want, a every day car. The magic stick will have higher need power compared to the 233/239, but are very large cams.

I'm using a G5-X2 in mine and it's really delivered for me. My pig heavy daily driver runs 6.7s and has long hauled the PowerTour. I don't think there is a better cam on the market for a 370 street motor.

I am running a 238/244 cam on a 114 in my 370. It is very driveable even with the stock rear gears in it. Look in the dyno section under my name and you will find my graph. I put down 400 on a mustang dyno with a stock LS1 intake, throttlebody, stock pulley, etc...through a TSP rumbler and the SPEC 4.

FWIW, I will be swapping my cam out when I get all the bolt ons done and an actual rearend under the car. I plan on going to a custom ground(speced to the heads) cam somewhere in the 250 to 255 range.
The TRex would work in a 370, but keep in mind it was designed for a stock cube, stock headed motor. For a temporary cam, such as my current one is, the TRex would make decent power on a 370.

IMHO the G5X2 is a tad small for the 370cid. I run a 238/240 .605/.609 112+2 XE-R in mine, and it is still very tame. LOTS of low end torque, great top end (to ~6800). I tried a 228/235 and it is way too small.
