Default which cam

Im deciding between these two cams from thunder racing give me your pro and cons for each.

Thunder Racing Custom Camshaft - 230/236 .590/.598 112 LSA 2400-6800 RPM Power Band. Excellent mid-range & high RPM power. 3200+ stall, 3.42+ gear, computer tuning required. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended. 230/236 .590/.598 112 LSA

OR

Thunder Racing Custom Camshaft - 224/224 .563/.563 112 LSA 1700-6600 RPM Power Band. Excellent mid-range & high RPM power. Requires computer tuning on automatic transmission cars. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended.

What do you want from the car? I assume the headers listed under next mod in your sig are going in with the cam. You getting heads too? I'd try to match the cam to the heads.
Regardless, between those two I'd vote 230/236. Of course, you havn't given us much to go on...

So long as you get it tuned a 230/236 will be fine. If you are willing to live with a few small quirks. 4.10's will help a good bit.

The TR 224/224 is a great cam I ran it for a while and was very happy with it, but these days bigger seems to be better. I've got a CC XER 228/230 and wish I would have gone even bigger. I'll probably continue to get bigger until the car is no longer streetable.

so with a good tune how would the 230236 be as far as driveability. I really want to be able to use the car like i do now a lot of street driving and ac use in the summer. I do city and highway driving too.

With a good tune and 4.10's a 230/236 should be plenty streetable, A/C and all. My 237/242 is virtually problem free in an auto with 3.23's.

Im looking to do headers, 4.10s, heads, and maybe a shot of nitrous. Will these eventual upgrades have an effect on which cam I should get or will both work well with this combo.

Different head/cam combinations work well together. Ported heads usually flow more adn more air all the way up to (and beyond) .600" lift where stock heads don't need that kind of list. You can spray just about any cam, but traditional splits (longer exhaust than intake duration) are better, and when you get to higher shot sizes (200+) a high LSA is preferable.

I would definitely go with the 230/236 if not larger. I put that cam in my car three weeks ago and it drove ok untuned (6speed). Got most of the tuning straightened out today and it drives great. I spent an hour in traffic on the way home from the shop with no problems. 4.10s would be great but I have 3.42s now, but not for long. Good luck.
