Default Approx. Cost and build order

Im planning on doing a buildup this winter on my '99 Z. I know its going to be turboed, but I dont know if i can get away with a new shortblock as well. I want to do some nice heads and a Lunati custom grind cam. That with a Phamspeed turbo kit ($2500). What would the cost difference be between doing a stroker or forged shortblock buildup vs. doing h/c and a turbo. i dont know if it would be better to do the stroker this year and get it all running right on motor and then next year do the power adder or the opposite. Ultimately i want what most people want or dream of, a Darton MTI 427 with a single T70 and full interior. i know for damn sure it wont all happen at once. most likely over several years, but i want to have something that can run well next year, but something i wont have to turn around and sell when i want to move on with my project. whats your advice?

If you buy a custom cam you should be able to get by turboed or naturally aspirated.
