Default Will a cam add/decrease rasp?

Exhaust Mods: Pacesetter LT's, TSP ORY, Magnaflow Catback

I have a HORRIBLE rasp between 2k and 3k rpm. Only at partial throttle, so normal driving around its always there. Sounds alot like a trumpet or horn. Other than that I love this set up.

My question is I'm about to install a cam along the lines of 224/224 .581 .581 112lsa. Will the rasp still be same? Will it be moved in the rpm? Will it go away?

I dont want to go cutting up the I pipe if i dont have to.

I have the same setup as you except Pace y instead of TSP and I don't notice any rasp like you describe. The cam will make it sound badass though I can tell you that much. I remember it was a bit quieter and not near as deep before I put the cam in.

Rasp with a magnaflow? Are you sure that's what it is?

Magnaflow owners chime in here....I dildnt think the magnaflow was raspy even without cats.

Mine is right between 1/4 and 1/2 throttle.

I installed all of these mods myself, there are no leaks, and nothings loose.

Its a Magnaflow catback!!!

Rasp will be worse with the cam because of increased overlap and increase cylinder filling. Sorry if that bursts your bubble.

No its cool. Just means that I'll have to work the exhaust first.
