Default Help Urgent!

just found a set of crane 1.8 rockers cheap can i put these on my car with a comp cams 228/230 .571/.573 lift 112 sobe sep camshaft without having to check p/v clearence i have patriot stage 2 ls6 heads if it makes any difference need to know quickly?

If they are the variable lift ones (Gold) go for it., but make sure the kit comes with p-rods as shorter ones are needed. Basically make sure rocker kit is complete.

If the heads are not milled too much, there shouldn't be a problem.
How much mill and what gasket are you running?

whatever you get with pp ls6 stage 2 heads i dont think they are milled and am not sure what size gaskets they are the ones that came with my heads

If you do not know then your option is to use a dial indictor to measure your PTV.
Or contact PP and find out what gasket they send and if those heads are milled.
Other option is to put them on and pray to God nothing happens.

BTW the Patriot heads are LS6 STYLE heads and not real LS6 castings. I wish they would quit calling them that and just call them what they really are LQ4

ok the heads have not been milled and the gaskets are GM MLS 6.0lt .055'' thickness is that good or bad for me?
