Default Some 6.0 questions

What is the stock displacement on a 6.0 block?
What pistons rods and crank make a 383 all bore?
What consist of making a 402? 408?

What can i make with stock crank and 6.125 rods...
What works best? Any problems by large pistons with the cooling?

Basically I have a 6L block and I am looking to figure out what to do with it

Suggestions and comments will be considered

What is the stock displacement on a 6.0 block?
366 cubic inches.

What pistons rods and crank make a 383 all bore?
You would have to bore the block .100" to reach 383ci. You have a number of choices of pistons and rods to choose from. Your less likely to find 4.10" pistons on someone's shelf.

What consist of making a 402? 408?
You get 402ci by adding a 4.0" stroke crankshaft to a standard bore block. You get 408ci by boring the block .030". Pistons and rods are more easily found for these setups than the all bores.

What can i make with stock crank and 6.125 rods...
Using the stock crank and boring to .030" over, you'll get to 369ci. Boring the block .060" will get you to 375ci.

What works best? Any problems by large pistons with the cooling?
We haven't seen any issues with forged pistons in the 6.0L iron blocks. Cooling has not been a problem.

Good luck,

Richard
