Default mild cam for my car...??

Want to go with a mild(by that I mean it is my daily driver so I want it to be streetable) cam that puts the most power to the ground without being a dead-giveaway that I have a cam. I am going for a sleeper car in other words. I have a 2000 SS M6 and will have full exhaust (LT's and all the way back). I was thinking about a tr224 114 or the FMS FM13 with Comp 918 springs and titanium retainers? Does that sound good? By the way I don't plan on ever getting heads or anything like that.....

I am running the TR224 114 cam and it is great. No starting or idling issues at all and it runs strong. If you want a mild cam that performs well then this is the cam for you.

I couldn't agree more. That cam is mild enough to not draw attention, but it will make some killer power both high and low.

I vote for the TR224, its a great all aroud cam.Ive been running it for a while and have made some good numbers.
BTW if you were to go with the FM13 you will need dual springs.

I vote for the 224 as well. Whatever you do keep the LSA @114 or higher. My car does has a "bit" of a sound at idle and pulls much harder up top. You will feel the throttle response soften under 2,000 rpm though. The gear swap fixed that problem!

I'd second a 224. I have the 112, idles a little hectic, but just enough to sound sexy as opposed to being a P.I.T.A in my opinion. 114 would probably be fine too, less top end from what I understand, but even better idle.

It has less MIDRANGE- you know under the curve. The wider angle flattens the curve. 114 has slightly less throttle response when you "punch it" somewhere in the low midrange rpm. Good idle and it'll pull a little longer up top.

I know everyone will get different results but if I have full exhaust, the 114 (and other mods that go with a cam), and some other minor bolt-ons what sort of gains do you think I will see? I want to be able to run 12's consistently.....
