Default Not Good!!!!

I just put together a motor for a buddy this past week and its not good. He purchased this motor from ebay. The seller said it had 9,000 miles on it and was ready to go. We got it all together and threw in a Futral cam package with prc springs and all. Started up fine with oil pressure at 40 psi. Idled ok for a while. Then went to drive it and started ticking extremely bad. Got louder the longer we ran it. Sounded like it was going to let go. It does not sound like lifters or valvetrain. Any ideas of what this might be???????? Thanks

sounds exactly what might be wrong with mine, sounds like the exact thing that happend to my car. And it looks like its going to be a spun bearing. You just got hosed on the engine most likely.

If you can take the oil pan off and knock on all the rod caps with a ballpeen if you here a hollow sound you found your spun bearing.

i know what you mean man. Do yourself a favor and file a complaint against the ebayer. Because its ovious he knew it was there and thats why he was selling it. If there is a spun bearing.
