need opinions hey guys, once I get my 9" problem dealt with, I'm thinking of starting a new project. Instead of buying a shortblock, I was thinking of building my own. I'm thinking of just buying the rotating assembly kit from keithkraft, that puts me at right around $2,000. Do the work myself and save some money for my AFR solid roller set up I have planned. 
What do you guys think. Worth it or will I end up spending the same amount as say an ls2 ( I want to stick w/ an aluminum block) Thanks.
