Default Need help ASAP please!!!

I am in the process of putting my motor back together. I am doing a cam, flycutting, ported oil pump, springs, retainers, etc. I am expecting about 500FWHP, so its not too extreme.
I am following the book "How to build high performance". In the section I am at right now, there is the welsh plug. They said upon disassembly, this was taken out for cleaning. I did not take it out. It also says that when installing, you need to clearence it from the block 2.5mm.
Do I need to worry about this plug?? I alredy have the front cover on, but will remove it if need be. If I dont do anything with this plug, what possibilities are there? Is there any advantage to remove the plug and reinstall? The book also says to use JB Weld on the rim of the plug. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Joey
