Default buying new heads what is the normal lead time?

Buying a set of heads from performance shop said heads are back ordered its been over 2 1/2 weeks is this normal?

I waited a month from MTI. The wait was worth it though.

My Tea 5.3's took about 4 weeks. Most places don't have them sitting on the shelf pre-built. They are built as they are ordered. I'm sure if you convinced them with $$, they would put you in front of the line.

i am going on 5 weeks and it looks like another 2-3 weeks since they dont have the pulleys in stock.

Paying $3,200 for heads and lifters parts and labor Stage 2 heads.

I paid over $3200 for mine and waited over 3 months, but they didn't have AFR castings on the shelf. My buddies LT-4's took quite a few months also at over $3200 dollars. If they got them to you within a month, your doing good.

Whatever time they say, double it.
If the shop is in Texas, triple it.

That includes heads on the shelf too. How vendors can take a week to ship heads "on the shelf"... I have no idea.

And don't think "Yeah well this vendor is special..." Just double the time quoted and set your expectations accordingly.
