Well, a 6.0 block can be bored up to 4.125" and that's kind of pushing it. So, any combo from 4.000" bore up to that. With a 5.7 block, it can only be bored up to about .030 over unless you resleeve it, which doesn't make for much good without an increased stroke as well.

On the other hand a resleeved Al block with a 4.135" final bore is a 389" motor for us Pontiac folks . And believe me, an all bore motor will flat haul *** if set up right.

just curious, but if spending all that money on a resleeved block why stick with the stock crank? Not knocking your plans just wondering. I can think of a couple of reasons, again just curious.

if resleeving the block, you could do a 364ci(4" bore), 370ci(4.030 bore), 375ci(4.060 bore), 383ci(4.100 bore) or a 387ci(4.125 bore)

You will never bore a LS1 .030 over (that is SBC talk). .010 is max and needs sonic testing.

Most everyone says to stop at .060 or even .040 on the 6.0 iron block. Never heard .125".

Well I'm runnning one bored .060 over and someone else on here is running one bored .090 over, I don't remember who though. With a 4.125 you'll definitely need to resleeve.
