Default Car "sputters" on warm start - h/c car

Alright guys, my car sputters only on a warm start. I have a h/c package on my car, Patriot heads and the G5X-2. About a month ago, It was raining hard as hell and the next day my rear 02 sensors went out on me b/c they got wet. I went on to replace them and figured I wouldn't have to worry about it. Now, on a warm start, my car acts like it is not getting any gas. Before the rainy night, everything was fine. It starts it after about 30 seconds of driving and the car must sit for about 15 minutes. It will only do it once as well. I can push the thottle and it does nothing, just sitting there like it's about to die as I go rolling down the road. Once I pump the throttle a few times all the way down to the floor, it's fine again.

Also, it feels like it loses alot of power when this happens. But once I drive it around for 10-15 minutes or so, it's fine. On the same note, I was out racing the other nite and after about 5 hard races, it seemed to lose power.

WTF is going on? Thanks in advance!

I didn't read the part about how it was tuned? Did you get it tuned after the h/c install?

Yea, it was tuned after the h/c install by one of the best. Once it started acting up with the new 02's, we took it out on the road so that he could see what was going on with HPTuners. Everyhting seemed fine. Like I said, when it does it (once on every warm start with a 10 minute wait) it just acts like it totaly dies and I get no throttle response, until after a few seconds passes.

Just so everyone doesn't second guess my tuner, Alex Procter, my car put down 430 RWHP and 400 RWTQ with the above mentioned mods and the usual bolt-on's. On a side note, it was richened up at the very beginning of the rpm range to compensate for when I run my dual cutouts open. But it was never an issue till we got all that rain and I replaced the 02's.

Well, lets look at this systematically:

- You had the tune prior to this and all was fine
- Your rear O2s got damaged and this is when it started, correct?
- How do we know your rear O2s were damaged?
- If we bank on that your rear O2s were damaged and were the culprit for this and you still have the issue then either your O2s were not damaged and/or (1) they still don't work (2) they weren't damaged and were not the cause of your current issue and another cause needs to be sought.

very true tally. I haven't even bothered to try and change them to see if that was it. I knew the rear ones were fouled out, because the ends were pitch black.

They'll be pitch black regardless of the O2's condition.

Here's the thing, after the night of hard rain, I got up the next day and went out on a drive. The damned thing was hesitating and acting like it wasn't getting fuel at all rpm/mph ranges. It was even doing it when I held the pedal down at a constant rate at 60mph. After talking to Alex, we both concluded that my rear 02's had gotten wet and were fouled out. Then, once I changed them, it cured it. All except for the damned warm start condition. Like tally said, it could be the front O2's (upstream). If not, something weird is definately up.

rear 02's wouldn't really affect driveability...
